JAKARTA Bank Mandiri showed strong performance in the second quarter of 2025, with positive growth. This achievement reflects the company's optimism and strengthens its commitment to driving transformation, building an export-based productive sector ecosystem, and expanding its role in the retail and MSME sectors.

Bank Mandiri Director of Finance & Strategy Novita Widya Anggraini said that on a consolidation basis, Bank Mandiri's total assets were recorded at Rp2,514.68 trillion, an increase of 11.4 percent year-on-year (yoy) in the second quarter of 2025.

He explained that the increase in performance was mainly supported by consolidated credit disbursement which reached Rp1,701 trillion, growing 11 percent (yoy). This figure exceeds the average credit growth of the banking industry of 7.03 percent (yoy) as of June 2025, based on data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Novita said that this credit growth showed Bank Mandiri's active role in supporting the financing of productive sectors and credit acceleration was focused on boosting the performance of the national economy and having a real impact on society.

"Therefore, we will continue to maintain Bank Mandiri's credit growth above the industry average," he said in his statement, Friday, September 19.

He added that the increase in credit was spread evenly throughout Indonesia by distributing financing to a number of potential sectors, such as construction, infrastructure, trade, energy, food and beverages, to labor-intensive industries.

According to Novita, this shows Bank Mandiri's seriousness in providing access to financing in accordance with regional economic potential.

Synergy with business actors in various sectors has succeeded in bringing credit growth to run more inclusively. Export-oriented productive sector ecosystems strengthen financing in the industrial business segment and become the basis for MSMEs and retail to continue to grow," he explained.

He conveyed that through this synergy, the MSME segment also showed a significant increase with productive microcredit growing 12.6 percent (yoy) at the end of the second quarter of 2025, this reflected Bank Mandiri's contribution in supporting the populist economy and encouraging job creation in various regions.

"We keep asset growth of quality, with a focus on financing sectors that have great potential to support national productivity and employment," he added.

Overall, Bank Mandiri's financial performance continues to prioritize the precautionary principle where Bank Mandiri's ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) is recorded at 1.08 percent on a bank only basis, better than the industry average of 2.22 percent, based on OJK data as of June 2025.

Not only that, the reserve ratio or NPL Coverage Ratio reached 273 percent, reflecting strong financial ability in anticipating risks.

Our commitment is to ensure healthy credit growth with disciplined risk management. In this way, profitability can be maintained consistently," said Novita.

Bank Mandiri also recorded healthy growth in the collection of Third Party Funds (DPK). As of June 2025, the total consolidated DPK reached Rp1,828 trillion, an increase of 10.7 percent (yoy), and was above the industry's average growth.

This growth was driven by an increase in low-cost funds (CASA) which reached 78.4 percent, thus supporting liquidity and cost efficiency.

He conveyed that his party would consistently continue its ecosystem-based growth strategy and digitization.

"Our main focus is to increase transaction-based CASA in both wholesale and retail segments to keep the cost of funds efficient. We are doing this strategy so that Bank Mandiri remains the transactional bank for customers," he added.

Novita said that optimizing CASA is an important strategy so that Bank Mandiri can provide efficient funding and this also strengthens liquidity structure in supporting credit expansion in a sustainable manner.
