Transfer To Regions To IDR 693 Trillion In The 2026 RAPBN, Purbaya Affirms The Benefits Of The State Budget For Regions To Stay Large

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) and the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI have agreed to increase the allocation of the Regional Transfer Budget (TKD) in the 2026 RAPBN.

The TKD budget was increased to IDR 693 trillion, or an increase of IDR 43 trillion from the initial target of IDR 650 trillion.

Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive explained that the additional budget was mainly allocated to support social and political stability in the regions, in line with input from various parties in the regions.

"For the mainly Rp43 trillion for regions, it is in accordance with regional income. For us, it is important because in the short term it is to maintain social and regional political stability," he told the media crew, Thursday, September 18.

Although the total transfer funds to the regions in 2026 are lower than the previous year, said Purbaya, the economic benefits received by the regions will not be reduced, because the central government spending distributed to the regions remains large.

"So the benefits to the regions will not decrease, meaning the dominance of regional economic movement. So the benefits of the APBN to the regions will not decrease," he said.

Purbaya also stated his commitment to oversee the realization of regional spending so that it does not stagnate.

"Moreover, later I will force and monitor regional spending, lest it be missed as before," he explained.

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said that this increase shows that the government is listening to the dynamics and aspirations that are developing regarding the amount of transfer funds to the regions.

Responding to other compensation outside the TKD, Suahasil explained that the central programs implemented in the regions actually experienced a significant increase.

"The central program that will run in the area is increasing unusually compared to this year," he explained.

Selain itu, Suahasil menyampaikan bahwa pemerintah juga menyiapkan berbagai program pembangunan berbasis instruksi presiden (Inpres), seperti Inpres Jalan Daerah dan Inpres Irigasi, yang akan dijalankan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia.

"Jadi itu menjadi komplemen dengan transfer ke daerah," ujarnya.

In addition, Suahasil said that the government is also preparing various development programs based on presidential instructions (Inpres), such as Regional Road Inpres and Instruction Instruction Instruction, which will be carried out throughout Indonesia.

"So it becomes complementary to transfers to the regions," he said.
