TKD 2026 Increased, Deputy Minister Of Finance Suahasil Calls Central Program In Areas Still Running And Expanded

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) together with the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI agreed to increase the allocation of the Regional Transfer Budget (TKD) in the 2026 State Budget Draft.

The total TKD budget was increased to IDR 693 trillion, or an increase of IDR 43 trillion compared to the initial target of IDR 650 trillion.

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said that this increase shows that the government is listening to the dynamics and aspirations that are developing regarding the amount of transfer funds to the regions.

Responding to other compensation outside TKD, Suahasil explained that central programs implemented in the regions actually increased significantly.

"The central program that will run in the area is increasing unusually compared to this year," he explained.

He gave an example, such as the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program experiencing a surge, and social programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and basic food cards also continue to run and be accepted by all local governments and the community,

In addition, Suahasil conveyed that the government has also prepared various development programs based on presidential instructions (Inpres), such as Regional Road Inpres and Instruction Instruction Instruction, which will be carried out throughout Indonesia.

"So it becomes complementary to transfers to the regions," he said.

Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy of the Ministry of Finance Febrio Kacaribu said the government responded to input from various parties by maintaining the sustainability of economic growth in the regions.

"The government listens to input from many parties, and we also want economic growth in the regions to continue and of course it is combined with central government spending whose benefits are directly felt by the community and also increasing very sharply," he explained.

Dia menjelaskan, upaya tersebut tidak hanya melalui peningkatan alokasi Transfer ke Daerah sebesar Rp693 triliun, tetapi juga didukung oleh belanja pemerintah pusat yang manfaatnya langsung dirasakan masyarakat, yang nilainya mencapai sekitar Rp1.377 triliun.

He explained that these efforts were not only through an increase in the Transfer Allocation to Regions by Rp. 693 trillion, but also supported by central government spending whose benefits were directly felt by the community, whose value reached around Rp. 1,377 trillion.

"So we see that the APBN and APBD are one unit to implement central and regional government programs," he said.
