JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, said that a number of economic stimulus had been given in the third quarter of 2025, and the government is currently discussing its continuation for the fourth quarter of 2025.

"The third quarter (2025) already has several stimuli and there are some that we will continue in the fourth quarter (2025) and this is still being discussed with the Minister of Finance (Purbaya Yudhi Sadives)," said Airlangga to the media crew, Friday, September 12.

When asked about the possibility of a new stimulus, an electricity discount or Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU), Airlangga explained that the option is still in the discussion stage.

He said that the government was considering expanding the scope of the Government-borne Income Tax (PPh DTP) policy for employees with salaries below Rp10 million which would be extended to other industrial sectors.

"We are currently discussing maybe the current PPh DTP for salaries below Rp. 10 million, maybe we will widen the industry. Yes, hopefully next week we can report it to the President," he added.

Meanwhile, for the electric motor subsidy program, Airlangga said that the process was only a matter of completing the administration in the relevant technical ministries.

"It's just an administration in the technical ministry," he explained.

Previously, since the beginning of the year, the government had rolled out various stimulus schemes to maintain people's purchasing power, including the Government-borne Income Tax (PPh) incentive (DTP) aimed at employees in the labor-intensive sector, such as the textile, footwear, and furniture industries.

The incentives are contained in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 10 of 2025, which has been in effect since February 4, 2025.
