JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has made an emergency response to flood disasters in Bali Province.
Floods occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at around 03.00 WITA due to very high rainfall intensity, with rainfall reaching 245.5 millimeters (mm) per day, based on data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The high intensity of rain caused the volume of water from the Tukad Badung River to increase to 85.85 cubic meters per second, so that it overflowed and inundated residential areas and roads in West Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali Province.
Handling measures have been taken by the Ministry of Public Works by mobilizing heavy equipment to clean up waste and assisting emergency response measures to reduce the impact of disasters and ensure the safety of the affected communities.
"We continue to prioritize the safety and comfort of the affected communities. The Ministry of Public Works will provide full support in dealing with the impact of floods in Bali," said PU Minister Dody Hanggodo in a written statement, Thursday, September 11.

In addition, also alert personnel in the rapid reaction team at the disaster site as well as heavy equipment and flood material if needed.
