Didik Madiyono Appointed As Acting Chairman Of The LPS Board Of Commissioners

JAKARTA - The Board of Commissioners (RDK) Meeting of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 approved the appointment of Didik Madiyono, a Member of the LPS Board of Commissioners for the Savings and Resolution Guarantee Program as the Acting Officer (Plt) Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, effective from September 9, 2025.

This appointment follows the resignation of Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa as Chair of the LPS Board of Commissioners who was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia on September 8, 2025.

LPS Institution Secretary Jimmy Ardianto said that the LPS Board of Commissioners Meeting decided to appoint the Acting Chairman of the Board of Commissioners by referring to the provisions in Law No. 24 of 2004 concerning the Deposit Insurance Corporation and Law No. 4 of 2023 concerning Financial Sector Development and Strengthening (P2SK).

In addition, it also refers to the LPS Board of Commissioners Regulation (PDK) which regulates the rules, implementers of tasks and temporary replacements of the Board of Commissioners to ensure the smooth operation of LPS in carrying out its duties and functions according to the law.

"In addition, there are considerations that currently Mr. Didik Madiyono is the only member of the Board of Commissioners who has offices in LPS every day so that it will facilitate coordination and operations," he said, Wednesday, September 10.

As Acting Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Didik Madiyono will lead the LPS operations until his term ends on September 24, 2025.

Currently, the process of selecting the Chair, Deputy Chair, and Member of the LPS Board of Commissioners is ongoing until it is decided by the DPR and inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
