Trade Minister Budi Ensures Prices Of Basic Goods In Bali Are Controlled

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade Budi Santoso ensures that the stock of basic necessities (bapok) in Bali is sufficient and the price is controlled.

He said the availability of stocks and maintaining the stability of bapok prices throughout Indonesia was a priority for the government.

This was conveyed by Budi after a visit to Nanggelan Market, Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday, September 9.

"Today, we have checked the supply and prices at Nanggelan Market. We make sure the stock of bapok here is sufficient and prices are controlled. The government is committed to maintaining stock availability and stability of bapok prices so that they are easily accessible to the public," Budi said in an official statement, Tuesday, September 9.

Based on observations, the supply and price of bapok in Nanggelan Market is sufficient and stable. A number of commodities are sold below the highest retail price (HET) and reference prices, such as sugar Rp17,300 per kg, beef Rp120,000 per kg, chicken eggs Rp27,700 per kg, curly chilies Rp35,000 per kg, red cayenne pepper Rp25,000 per kg, shallots Rp35,000 per kg, and garlic Rp30,000 per kg.

Then, the commodities sold according to HET and the benchmark prices are the Stableized Rice Supply and Food Price (SPHP) Bulog Rp12,500 per kg, Oilita Rp15,700 per liter, and chicken meat Rp40,000 per kg.

In addition, medium rice is sold at a price of Rp. 15,000 per kg, premium rice in the price range of Rp. 16,000 to Rp. 16,500 per kg, premium cooking oil Rp. 20,600 per liter, wheat flour Rp. 12,000 per kg, and large red chilies Rp. 31,600 per kg.

There are a number of commodity prices that have risen, such as eggs and chilies, but are still below the benchmark price. We continue to coordinate with various stakeholders to keep supply and prices in the market safe," said Budi.

Bud said the Ministry of Trade participated in cross-institutional coordination to ensure that the supply and stability of bapok prices were under control. The Ministry of Trade coordinates with local governments through the Market Monitoring and Basic Needs System (SP2KP), which is a national monitoring system for bapok prices managed by the Ministry of Trade.

The Ministry of Trade also coordinates with associations and suppliers (suppliers) to ensure that the supply of bapok is maintained by the Nanggelan Market located in the Panjer Traditional Village, Denpasar is a market that already has the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) Pasar Rakyat and Tertib Ukur Markets.

Sertifikasi SNI diperoleh pada 2018 lewat versi 8152:2015, yang kemudian mendapat pembaruan versi 8152:2021 pada 2022 dan berlaku selama lima tahun.

Kemudian predikat Pasar Tertib Ukur diperoleh pada 2014 dan kembali diraih pada 2023.

Pasar seluas 4.595m2 ini berdiri sejak 1995 dan telah direvitalisasi pada 2013 melalui Dana Tugas Pembantuan Kemendag.

Pasar Nyanggelan kini mampu menampung sekitar 250 pedagang.

SNI certification was obtained in 2018 via version 8152:2015, which then received an update version 8152:2021 in 2022 and is valid for five years.

Then the title of the Ukur Ordered Market was obtained in 2014 and again achieved in 2023.

This 4,595m2-wide market was established since 1995 and was revitalized in 2013 through the Ministry of Trade's Assistance Task Fund.

Nanggelan Market is now able to accommodate around 250 traders.
