Farmer Exchange Rate In August 2025 Reaches 123.57

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) for the August 2025 period reached 123.57, an increase of 0.76 percent compared to the July 2025 period.

Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, BPS Pudji Ismartini, explained that the increase in NTP increased because the price index received by farmers (It) was 0.84 percent, as well as the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which experienced an increase of 0.08 percent.

"The dominant commodities affect the increase in prices received by farmers, namely grain, palm oil, corn and shallots," he said, Monday, September 1.

Furthermore, based on its sub-sector, BPS reported that food crops were the most dominant with an increase in NTP of 2.40 percent from 110.99 for the period July 2025 to 113.65 in August 2025.

"This happened because it increased by 2.31 percent while Ib fell by 0.09 percent and the dominant commodities affected the increase in IT for this food crop sub-sector was grain, corn, cassava, and green beans," he continued.

Furthermore, Pudji also explained that the Exchange Rate of Farmers for People's Plantation Plants (NTPR) for the period August 2025 was 157.30, an increase of 1.24 percent from the previous month which was only 155.37.

Then, in the livestock sub-sector, the realization of NTP Livestock must decrease by 0.51 percent from 100.99 in July 2025 to 100.47 for the August 2025 period.

Then the fishery sub-sector was 0.78 percent from 102.79 to 103.59 for the August 2025 period, consisting of the Fisherman's Exchange Rate which increased 0.77 percent from 103.31 to 104.10, and the Fish Cultivation Exchange Rate of 0.79 percent from 101.97 to 102.78.

"The Fisherman's Exchange Rate increased by 0.77 percent. This is because it increased by 0.87 percent higher than the Ib increase of 0.10 percent," explained Pudji.

Terdapat beberapa komoditas yang memengaruhi naiknya It pada subsektor nelayan, utamanya ialah ikan tongkol, cakalang, serta ikan kembung.

"Komoditas yang dominan mempengaruhi peningkatan It untuk subsektor Nilai Tukar Nelayan ini adalah tongkol, cakalang, kembung atau kombong atau sumbo, dan juga selar," tandas Pudji.

There are several commodities that affect the increase in It in the fishermen's sub-sector, mainly tuna, skipjack, and bloating fish.

"The dominant commodities affect the increase in It for the Fisherman's Exchange Rate sub-sector are trangkol, skipjack, kelung or kombong or limbo, and also diesel," said Pudji.
