Just Inaugurated By Bahlil, Director General Of New Oil And Gas Wants To Carry Out Lifting And Oil And Gas Field Auction

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia has just appointed Laode Sulaiman as Director General of Oil and Gas (Migas) which has been empty since last February.

To the media crew, Laode said the first thing that will be done is to implement technical matters to increase oil lifting. On the other hand, Laode will also hasten the oil field auction process.

"Earlier, we guarded the lifting, then the fields that had to be auctioned immediately, those were the two," said Laode to the media crew at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Friday, August 29.

Just so you know, previously the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources planned to conduct an auction of 75 oil and gas blocks spread throughout Indonesia.

Laode said, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources always emphasized the increase in lifting in order to achieve the target of 1 million barrels by 2030.

"Keep the priority of lifting. That's why every direction of the Minister is always lifting," he explained.

Terkait tugas Laode sebelumnya terkait pipanisasi saat masih menjabat sebagai Direktur Pembangunan Infrastruktur Minyak dan Gas Bumi, dia mengaku masih tetap berjalan dengan target rampung pada tahun 2026.

"Sudah di atas 77 persen. Cisem 2," sambung dia.

Untuk informasi, Laode Sulaiman merupakan lulusan Magister Teknik Kimia Universitas Indonesia pada tahun 2022 dan terakhir menjabat sebagai Direktur Perencanaan dan Pembangunan Infrastruktur Minyak dan Gas Bumi.

Regarding Laode's previous duties regarding pipelines while still serving as Director of Oil and Gas Infrastructure Development, he admitted that he was still running with the target of completion by 2026.

"Already above 77 percent. Cisem 2," he continued.

For information, Laode Sulaiman graduated from the University of Indonesia's Chemical Engineering Masters in 2022 and last served as Director of Oil and Gas Infrastructure Planning and Development.
