PEP Jambi Field Production 1,243 BOPD Through PPS-020 Well At Puspa Asri

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Jambi Field, noted that the achievement in maintaining national energy security through the Puspa Asri development well (PPS-020) with well production tests penetrated 1,243 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) by open flow.

General Manager of PHR Zone 1 Hari Widodo said the production test figure will still be produced in stages, starting from Defender 7 with a production figure of 400 BOPD.

"The well in Lopak Alai Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency managed to exceed far from the initial target and flowed naturally (natural flow)," he said, Thursday, August 28.

He explained that PEP Jambi Field, which is part of Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Zone 1, drilled wells Directly (J-Type) with RIG NYT-19 (700 HP) to reach its final depth at 1.439 mMD. More than just exceeding the production target, Jambi Field PEP commitment is also evidence of an effective operating strategy. PPS-020 production tests from R10 and R11 layers were completed in 21 days according to the target, while recording Zero Non Productive Time (NPT).

"The achievement that should be proud of the PPS-020 drilling operation is Zero NPT, accounting for the 21-day target as planned. The well starts drilling on July 30, 2025 and on August 20, it successfully conducts production tests," he explained.

The PPS-020 well also implements the Company's flagship program, namely OPTIMUS (Optimizing Site Preparation, Optimizing Well Architecture, and Optimizing Fluid Drilling). With effective and efficient steps, drilling costs have succeeded in realizing the cost of only 73 percent of the Authority for Expenditure (AFE) that has been set by SKK Migas.
