Erick Thohir Ensures Ministry Of SOEs Supports Village Electricity Programs And Red And White Cooperatives

JAKARTA Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir ensured that his ministry is ready to support the Village Electricity Program and the Red and White Village Cooperative which is part of President Prabowo Subianto's vision.

Erick said the Village Electricity and Cooperative Program of Puti Village aims to improve people's welfare directly.

"The Ministry of SOEs is ready to carry out this assignment with full commitment. The Village Electricity Program is a tangible manifestation of the presence of the state to serve small communities, especially those living in remote and remote areas. This is not just infrastructure development, but a form of taking sides with social justice," Erick said in an official statement, Thursday, August 28.

The acceleration of the Village Electricity Program is planned to cover 10,068 locations in the country.

Erick said the Red and White Village Cooperative would be an important instrument in driving the local economy.

He also said that the Ministry of SOEs will ensure that village cooperatives have strong carrying capacity to cut supply chains, increase distribution efficiency, and open wider economic access for rural communities.

"Cooperation is not only an economic tool, but also a symbol of independence and mutual cooperation. With the strengthening of SOEs, village cooperatives will become an inclusive and sustainable economic driving force," said Erick.

Erick said the Ministry of SOEs would coordinate with various parties, including local governments and related SOEs, to ensure that the implementation of President Prabowo's government programs is effective and has a direct impact on the community.

"This commitment is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directive which emphasizes the importance of development that touches the real needs of the people," he said.

Sekadar informasi, pada 25 Agustus lalu, Presiden Prabowo Subianto menggelar rapat terbatas soal perekonomian nasional bersama degan Wakil Presiden Gibran Rakabuming, serta jajaran Kabinet Merah Putih di Istana Merdeka.

Rapat tersebut membahas sejumlah isu strategis yang mencakup ketahanan pangan, pengelolaan energi berbasis sampah, elektrifikasi desa, serta penguatan koperasi desa sebagai pilar ekonomi lokal.
