JAKARTA – PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) welcomes the international airport status designation for 30 airports in Indonesia, as stipulated in the Minister of Transportation Decree No. KM 37 of 2025 concerning the Designation of International Airports.
The regulation, which came into effect on August 8, 2025, designates 30 airports managed and operated by InJourney Airports as airports capable of serving scheduled commercial flights on international routes.
InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi stated that this policy further strengthens the role and position of InJourney Airports within the regional and global aviation ecosystem.
Pahlevi stated that the international status designation of 30 InJourney Airports will strengthen air connectivity and strengthen the airports' role as agents of development and value creators in relation to the equitable distribution of international aviation services in Indonesia.
"We are also optimistic that the implementation of this policy will have a positive impact on increasing passenger traffic and international flights to and from Indonesia. "In addition to fulfilling the required documents and ensuring the infrastructure and facilities at the airport for international flight operations and services, we are also coordinating with stakeholders, including the Immigration Office, Customs and Excise, and Quarantine," he said.
Agus added that airlines are also required to explore and open international routes to InJourney Airports designated as international airports.

The number of international route traffic in 2024 experienced significant growth compared to 2023, with passenger movements increasing by 22 percent and aircraft movements by 14 percent, respectively.
