JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) or BRI noted that the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) reached IDR 83.8 trillion until June 2025.
The credit was disbursed to 1.8 million debtors in Indonesia.
BRI President Director Hery Gunardi said the credit disbursed by the company has continued to grow since 2019.
The 2022 is the year with the highest KUR distribution trend, reaching IDR 252.24 trillion.
He said that the loans disbursed by the company focused on the productive sector.
"Historically since 2019, the distribution of BRI KUR has continued to show a strong trend with a peak distribution in 2022 of IDR 252.4 trillion. In terms of sectors, the majority of BRI KUR distribution is still directed to productive sectors," Hery said in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, which was monitored online on Thursday, August 21.
"The agricultural sector became the largest recipient to reach Rp37.1 trillion, then trade took second place, followed by the social and industrial service sectors," he continued.
The company also encourages micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be able to advance to class through the KUR program. Hery said, there were 574,000 BRI KUR customers who rose to class until June 2025 from 286,000 in the first three months of this year.
"The number of KUR customers who managed to advance to class reached 574,000 people, a significant increase from 286,000 people from the first quarter (2025). This means that in the last three months there have been an additional 300,000 small business actors managed to advance to class," he said.
