JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), a national construction and investment company under the auspices of Danantara Indonesia, officially started the construction of the New Priok Eastern Access (NPEA) Section II. This 3.8 km strategic route will connect the Nusantara Bonded Zone (KBN) Marunda directly to the New Priok Container Terminal 1 (NPCT 1) with a project value of IDR 2.33 trillion.
The project, which is targeted to be completed within 600 calendar days or about 20 months, is part of the National Strategic Project (PSN). The presence of this new access will unravel the density at New Priok South Access (NPSA), which is currently the only route to NPCT 1 and has reached its maximum capacity. The NPEA line will also be connected to the Cibitung 'Cilincing' Toll Road (JTCC), smoothing the flow of goods from the Cikarang, Cibitung, and surrounding industrial areas to Tanjung Priok Port.
"NPEA will be a new access that strengthens existing access, thus supporting the smooth movement of goods to and from industrial areas, including the Cikarang, Cibitung, and other areas industrial areas, to Tanjung Priok Port," said Arif Suhartono, President Director of Pelindo.
Meanwhile, PTPP's Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo, emphasized that PTPP presents the latest technological innovations to ensure projects run on time and have high quality.
We apply Smart Infrastructure Technology (SIT) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) to monitor progress in real-time, visualize integrated construction, to accurately measure using Multi Beam Echo Sounder and LiDAR Drone. This technology makes the work more precise and efficient," he explained, in a written statement, Tuesday, August 19.

Not only focusing on construction, this project also prioritizes social and environmental aspects. PTPP designed a special bridge with a span of 70 m and a height of 16 m to ensure access to fishermen from Cilincing and Kalibaru. In addition, it is used as an environmentally friendly material to reduce carbon emissions, involve the surrounding community as a workforce, and apply the lan construction method with reusable formwork to reduce waste.
With long experience in building port infrastructure including Makassar New Port and Kalibaru PTPP are optimistic that they can complete the NPEA Section II project with the best quality standards and zero accidents.
"This project will be a symbol of the progress of Indonesia's maritime connectivity, strengthen national logistics competitiveness, and support sustainable economic growth," concluded Joko.
