Pertamina Accelerates Fuel Distribution To A Number Of Gas Stations On Flores Island

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga East Java Bali Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus) has accelerated the distribution of fuel oil (BBM) to a number of Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, following disruptions to fuel distribution due to bad weather that prevented tankers from heading to gas stations.

"The priority of accelerating shipments starting at the Labuan Bajo gas station and its surroundings to coordinate with gas station supervisors is also maximized," said Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus Ahad Rahedi as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, August 17.

Sunday said gas station supervisors had arranged queues and priority filling to vehicle consumers and minimized charging to non-vehicle consumers.

In addition to accelerating the distribution of fuel to a number of gas stations, Pertamina, he said, had carried out mitigation efforts by adding points of transfer of supply which were previously only from the Maumere Fuel Terminal, currently also assisted by the Ende Fuel Terminal.

"With the two points of supply transfer as an effort to mitigate the smoothness of this distribution, hopefully the situation will improve and the distribution will be normal," concluded Sunday.

Previously, it was reported that the distribution of fuel was due to delays in fuel tankers which were allegedly due to extreme weather problems in the last few days.

In fact, this bad weather situation still occurs until Saturday night 16 August.
