The Government Allocates Rp1,376 Trillion For The Direct Assistance Program, Here Are The Details

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government allocated Rp1,376.9 trillion of funds from the central government's budget in the 2026 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) for assistance programs whose benefits were directly felt by the people.

"Local governments often convey the need to help the community. However, the community gets a lot of direct assistance from the central government. That's worth Rp1,378.9 trillion itself," he said at a press conference regardingRAPBN and the 2026 Financial Note reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 15.

The Minister of Finance detailed that the allocation of funds of IDR 1,376.9 trillion for direct assistance to the people would be distributed, among others, through the Family Hope Program (PKH) of IDR 28.7 trillion and the Indonesia Smart Program / Smart Smart Card and other scholarship programs of IDR 88.6 trillion.

The allocation of funds will also be channeled through the Basic Food Card Program (Rp43.8 trillion), Rp69 trillion for the National Health Insurance Program (JKN), Rp7.3 trillion for renovation/revitalization of schools, as well as free health checks, tuberculosis prevention, and revitalization of Rp7.3 trillion).

In addition, the allocation of funds for direct assistance will be used to carry out President Prabowo Subianto's priority programs such as the Free Nutrition or MBG (Rp335 trillion), the Garuda People's School and Superior School (Rp27.9 trillion), and the Red and White Villages Cooperative (Rp83 trillion).

Funds for assistance will also be distributed directly to energy and compensation subsidies programs (Rp381.3 trillion), non-energy subsidy programs (Rp108.8 trillion), as well as professional allowances for teachers and professional allowances for non-civil servant lecturers (Rp63.5 trillion).

The allocation of funds will also be used for road and bridge storage programs (Rp24.9 trillion), housing (Rp48.7 trillion), dams and irrigation (Rp12 trillion), food barns (Rp22.4 trillion), Bulog and food reserves (Rp28.5 trillion), as well as fishing villages and national plantations (Rp6.6 trillion).

"These are all located in the area, enjoyed by people in the regions. So that the APBN from the central expenditure side is quite large, which is done by the central government directly to the people in the regions. Expenditure for K/L and transfer to this area into one unit," said Sri Mulyani.

According to the Minister of Finance, the allocation of funds for central government spending in RAPBN 2026 is IDR 3,136.5 trillion.

In this case, the budget ceiling for ministries/agencies (K/L) is set at IDR 1,498.3 trillion, an increase from the indicative ceiling of IDR 1,167.8 trillion.

The non-K/L budget allocation is set at IDR 1,638.2 trillion and the budget for transfers to the regions (TKD) is IDR 650 trillion.

The state budget in the 2026 RAPBN is set at IDR 3,786.5 trillion.
