National independence is not just a matter of infrastructure and capital, but also the quality of humans driving it," said Puan at the 2025 MPR and DPR Annual Sessions held at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Friday, August 15.
Puan conveyed that related to global challenges or external pressures, Indonesia is the same as other countries in the global vortex, thus requiring a solid foothold and a clear direction related to the interests of the nation and state.
"Therefore, investment in education, mastery of technology, and the development of the nation's character is an inseparable part of the independence strategy," he said.
