JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver the Financial Note and Draft Law on the 2026 State Budget (APBN) at the annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday, August 15.
President Prabowo will deliver updates on government programs, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG).
DPR Budget Committee Chairman Said Abdullah stated that the MBG program's implementation has not been significant because it is still in its initial stages and will only be laid in the first semester of 2025.

Said added that in the upcoming Financial Note speech, the focus should be directed towards fundamental human development agendas, as stated in the long-term development vision (Asta Cita), namely Education for All, Improving the Quality of Inclusive Health Services, and Providing Basic Human Resources (MBG) for Students.
He explained that if these programs are implemented simultaneously and massively, Indonesia's Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) can hopefully improve.
"If this is implemented simultaneously, we hope our ICOR will be much higher, at least equal to Vietnam's. If Vietnam is currently at 4.6, we are at 6.1, 6.2, then with the acceleration of government programs, this can be achieved," he emphasized.
