JAKARTA - PT PLN Energi Primary Indonesia (PLN EPI) and JERA Co., Inc. have signed a Joint Development Study Agreement (JDSA) on June 17, 2025 to strengthen collaboration in the development of a liquefied natural gas supply chain (LNG) in Indonesia.
The signing of JDSA is a continuation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) which was signed in February 2024.
President Director of PT PLN Energi Primary Indonesia (PLN EPI), Rakhmad Dewanto said, this joint study will focus on the commercial, financial and regulatory aspects, with the aim of strengthening PLN EPI and JERA's commitment to contribute to the development of Indonesia's energy landscape.
"The two companies will jointly explore, namely the potential for cooperation in the procurement, supply, and optimization of LNG; as well as opportunities for the development of LNG infrastructure, especially to support Indonesia's electricity sector," he said in a statement to the media, Thursday, August 14.
