Jakarta PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of the government in expanding access to home ownership for Low-Income Communities (MBR). In collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) and BP Tapera, BRI received a mandate to distribute additional quotas of Home Ownership Loans for Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (KPR FLPP) in 2025.
This year, BRI is trusted to distribute 25,000 units of FLPP, an increase of 7,300 units from the previous quota of 17,700 units. The addition of this quota is part of BRI's support for the 3 Million Houses Program launched by the government, with the aim of providing decent, comfortable, and affordable housing for all Indonesian people.
Meanwhile, this commitment was inaugurated by the signing of the MoU Quota for Distribution and Mass Akad 1,000 Subsidized KPR Customers which took place at the BRILiaN Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/8/2025). This activity was attended by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, President Director of Hery Gunardi and BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho.
To accelerate the realization of the distribution, this contract was carried out simultaneously by 1000 MBR at 75 BRI branch offices spread throughout Indonesia, along with a notary and housing developer subsidized by BRI partners.
In his remarks, BRI President Director Hery Gunardi said with it
The signing of this MoU & Mass Akad, the housing ownership backlog is expected to be smaller so that more and more people live more comfortably and prosperously.
"We continue to strive to expand this program so that the distribution can be maximally absorbed so that more people can have housing. Of course, we also continue to apply the precautionary principle in every process, so that businesses can continue to grow healthy," he said.
As one of the KPRS channeling partners, BRI is currently one of the largest lending banks with the majority of KPRS financing coming from the FLPP program. As of June 2025, BRI KPRS has been given to more than 101 thousand beneficiaries with outstanding reaching Rp13.79 trillion. From this export, around 97% are FLPP outstanding with maintained credit quality.
"This means that we distribute it with good governance, as reflected in the ratio of non-performing loans which are at a low level, which is 1.1%. So, stay safe," said Hery Gunardi.
On the same occasion, PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait emphasized that the housing sector has a very large multiplier effect on various other economic sub-sectors.
For information, based on the National Socio-Economic Survey Data (Susenas) in 2023, the national home ownership backlog was recorded at 9.9 million. If viewed more deeply, as many as 83.4% of these backlogs come from low-income households and poor groups.
The FLPP program itself is designed by the government as a financing scheme with low-cost funds channeled through a channeling financial institution, namely BP Tapera. Where this aims to overcome the challenges of the national housing backlog which is still high.
In its implementation, FLPP targets the public
Low income by following the provisions of the regional zone. This scheme also provides access to first home ownership through lighter financing provisions, such as a maximum interest rate of 5% and a credit tenor of up to 20 years.
