KKP Accelerates The Establishment Of The Red And White Kopdes In Region IV, Here's The Location List

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has also played a role in the establishment of the Red and White Village/Sub-District Cooperative (Kopdes/Kel).

KKP is known to play a role as coordinator for the acceleration of the formation of the Red and White Kopdeskel in Region IV, namely in East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara Provinces.

The total number of Red and White Kopdeskel in Region IV reached 13,818 villages and as many as 19 cooperative villages became a pilot in Region IV.

"Hi #SahabatBahari, in order to encourage the acceleration of the formation of the Red and White Village Cooperative through the guidance and empowerment of the village community, the KKP acts as the coordinator of the acceleration of the formation of cooperatives Region IV, namely in East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara, you know," explained KKP as quoted from its official Instagram account @kkpgoid, Friday, August 8.

Through fishery extension workers, the KKP will facilitate groups of fishermen, fish cultivators, processors and marketers of marine products as well as salt farmers to form or become members of cooperatives.

"With the strength of togetherness, we create a developed and prosperous village economy," he concluded.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan targeted 10,000 units of the Red and White Kopdes to operate in August 2025.

"And soon this August we will complete around 10,000 in August. At least 10,000 Kopdes have been operating in August," he said after a coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 29.

Zulhas believes the realization will exceed that target. To achieve that target, he said his party would also carry out roadshows throughout Indonesia.

"But I'm sure there can be more than 10,000 units, yes. Therefore, we have scheduled another roadshow starting later on the 1st in NTT, 2nd in NTB, Java and all of them," he explained.

At the launch of the Red and White Kopdes on July 21, 2025, Zulhas, his nickname, reported to President Prabowo Subianto that 80,081 Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) had been formed. Of the total, 108 units are ready to operate.

"Alhamdulillah, Mr. President, in less than two months, more than 80,081 Red and White Kopdes/kelurahan have been formed legally. And 108 of them are ready to operate," he said when delivering a report on the inauguration of the Red and White Kopdes, quoted from the Ministry of Food's YouTube, Monday, July 21.
