JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) will soon auction off the Phase II People's School (SR) construction project. The plan is that 100 school units will be built and ready to function in the period of the new school year 2026/2027.
PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said the auction procession will begin this August. The hope is that in June 2026 the project can be completed and ready to be used.
"Yes, this August, it (is auctioned off). September must start physical (work). Because, right, June (date) 30 must have been completed (development)," said Dody when met at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, August 8.
Even so, Dody did not specify how much funds were budgeted for the construction of the Phase II People's School. However, he said, the construction of SR will be carried out throughout Indonesia. In total there will be 100 units built.
