JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK has officially completed the main structure stage or topping off (closed roof) of the Ragunan Package 2 IT Center construction project for the Bank Ragunan Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).

EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said the achievement marked the completion of the main structure stage of the building which will become a strategic information technology center for national banking services.

The project, which started on August 30, 2024, has reached 54.59 percent of the total work

"Topping off is proof of our commitment to complete this strategic project on time with the best quality standards," said Adjib as quoted from his written statement, Wednesday, August 6.

It is known that the company built two main buildings, namely the Techno Building which consists of 1 basement and 13 floors and a 5-story Cloud Building with 1 roof.

The total building area reaches 18,914 square meters which will function as an office building and data center.

Not only pursuing construction efficiency, the project also carries the concept of green building and sustainable construction.

The IT Center building is designed with a smart system that can adapt to the needs of its users.

This starts from setting automatic temperatures to optimal energy management.

"All of this is part of Hutama Karya's commitment to creating a future workspace that is not only modern but also environmentally friendly," he said.

After the topping off, Hutama Karya will focus on architectural and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) work with an estimated completion of up to the next 6 months, where testing and commissioning facilities are scheduled for January 2026.

In addition to strategic benefits for national banking, the project is expected to improve the welfare of MSME actors around the location.

With a location of only 400 meters from Ragunan Terminal and 450 meters from Ragunan Transjakarta Bus Stop, the building will become a center of economic activity that has a positive impact on the surrounding community.

Meanwhile, BRI Vice President (VP) Hendarwan emphasized the importance of the project for digital banking transformation.

"The construction of this IT Center will improve the quality of banking services for BRI customers throughout Indonesia and accelerate the process of digitizing services," he said.

According to him, the data center building that was built will strengthen BRI's information technology infrastructure, support increased server capacity and stability of the national banking service network.
