JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI announced that the two railway lines could be passed back at a limited speed after being disrupted due to the incident of the downturn of the Argo Bromo Anggrek train at Pegadenbaru Station, Subang, West Java, on August 1, 2025.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said the KAI technical team, which consists of 200 personnel, along with relevant management and stakeholders, worked relentlessly to ensure this line was safe for train travel.
"Seeing the extraordinary spirit of collaboration of all teams, both technicians, Management and relevant stakeholders, we managed to return this route to a safe condition. We understand very well how important train travel is for customers, and their safety and comfort are our priorities," he said in an official statement, Sunday, August 3.
Anne said the impact of this incident caused the cancellation of several train trips.
A total of 24 trips were canceled on August 1, 2025, and increased to 54 trips on August 2.
Furthermore, Anne said, the other two trips are expected to still be canceled on August 3, 2025. KAI also diverted 42 trips with a rotating operation pattern to minimize disruption.
