Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani revealed that the government through the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) has disbursed funds of Rp. 16.6 trillion to finance non-permanent investments to Perum Bulog.

Sri Mulyani said that this injection of funds was given as an effort to strengthen food reserves and maintain price stability during harvest.

"Until the first semester of 2025, funds of Rp. 16.6 trillion are useful for maintaining the strengthening of food reserves and most importantly maintaining the stability of rice prices at harvest time so as not to harm farmers. On the other hand, prices at the consumer level are also maintained and not rising," he said at the KSSK III 2025 Periodic Meeting Results Press Conference, at the LPS Office, Jakarta, Monday, July 28.

Furthermore, Sri Mulyani added, this injection of funds is not only targeting rice commodities, but also corn as part of diversification and strengthening food security.

"Bulog's strengthening policy is also carried out for corn commodities other than rice," he said.

In addition, he said, the government had also regulated by cutting 145 rules in the agricultural sector, especially in the distribution of fertilizers.

"The 145 rules have been removed, thus the distribution of subsidized fertilizers can run directly to farmers on time planting," he said.

According to Sri Mulyani, this policy began to produce results, as reflected in national rice production in the January to June 2025 period which increased by 13.2 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy), reaching 19.09 million tons.

"With the performance in the rice food crop sector, the growth of the agricultural agricultural sector in the first quarter of 2025 reached 10.52 percent yoy," he said.
