The Public Relations Manager of KAI for Operational Areas (Daop) 1 Jakarta, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, said that the official recruitment process within PT KAI was free of charge.

This statement was in response to the circulation of fake recruitment invitations that took the name KAI and contained requests for a sum of money as a condition for administration, guarantee or other costs.

KAI does not ask job applicants to transfer money or provide forms of payment in the work selection process.

"We emphasize that KAI's official recruitment is only done through the company's official website at the recruitment.kai.id address," he said.

The public is asked not to easily believe in recruitment invitations that are not through official and suspicious channels. Especially if it is accompanied by a request for money.

Ixfan asked the public to check first through the official channel or contact KAI customer services if they received information that was doubtful.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta also appealed to the public not to disseminate the fake invitation so as not to cause further harm to other parties.

"Preventive measures and caution from the public are very important to break the chain of fraud that tarnishes the good name of the company," said Ixfan.
