JAKARTA The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) noted that the number of beneficiaries of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program has reached 7 million people.

"Alhamdulillah, last night (Tuesday), the MBG program reached 7 million beneficiaries," said Director of Regional Provision and Distribution II of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sanjaya in his statement, Wednesday, July 23.

Sony said that his party is currently accelerating a number of strategic steps to increase the number of beneficiaries before August.

First, verify the application for the location of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) by involving the Regional Heads (Kareg) of SPPG.

The next step is by conducting technical guidance (bimtek) on 12,000 Indonesian Development Mobilization Scholars or SPPIs.

"Implementing technical guidance to 12,000 SPPIs that will be assigned to conduct field surveys, monitoring, and assistance to prospective BGN partners during the construction/renovation process for the SPPG building," he added.

BGN also held verification of the results of the preparation for the construction or renovation of the SPPG building. This verification was carried out thoroughly by 30,000 SPPI personnel to ensure that it was in accordance with implementation standards.

BGN also held technical guidance to all Regional Leadership and Coordinator (Korwil). This technical guidance discussed the mechanism for reporting the results of the survey, monitoring, and development assistance process by SPPI.

Sony emphasized that the entire process is carried out in parallel and structured so that the implementation of the MBG program can run optimally and on time. With the synergy of all stakeholders in the field, BGN targets higher achievements in the near future.

Previously, the Special Staff of the Head of BGN for Communication, Redy Hendra Gunawan, said that on August 17, or to coincide with the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), the distribution of the MBG program could already target 24 million beneficiaries.
