JAKARTA - Construction of 2,200 kitchens of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) as part of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) will use the budget from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
This was confirmed by the Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo at a press conference at the Ministry of Public Works office, Jakarta, Friday night, July 18.
"The budget (for the construction of the SPPG kitchen) is from the National Nutrition Agency," said Dody.
However, Dody has not been able to reveal the total budget that will be issued by BGN and the list of locations for the construction of the SPPG kitchen.
"That's what we have to finish (the location list) up to the target, anyway, October 2025, how much is the nominal yet, where is the place yet," said Dody.
"After the exact place, we will be able to adjust the budget. However, the budget is from BGN," he continued.
Furthermore, Dody ensured that the construction of SPPG kitchens would be prioritized in disadvantaged, frontier and outermost (3T) areas.
"So, we will be given locations anywhere, especially in 3T areas," he concluded.
Previously, the Ministry of Public Works targeted the construction of 2,200 kitchens of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) this year.
This was reflected after the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, met with the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana to follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding or MoU which was signed in March 2025.
Dody said that his party plays an important role in supporting President Prabowo Subianto's program through the provision of basic infrastructure, such as the SPPG kitchen which will be spread across various parts of Indonesia.
