PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has completed the construction of six public schools in Central Jakarta which are carried out through Operational Cooperation (KSO) with PT Bumi Karsa.
All of these schools have been completed and are ready to be reused for teaching and learning activities in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The construction covers a total building area of 40,059 square meters with a structure of four to six floors.
The six schools include SDN Kampung Bali 01; SDN Pasar Baru 01/03/05 and TK Negeri Sawah Besar 01; SDN Duri Pulo 01/02/03/04/05/10; SDN Karang Anyar 01/02/05/06/08; SDN Cikini 01/02 and USB SMA; and KBN Cempaka Baru and PKBM 29 Cempaka Baru.
The project is part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government program and is funded through the APBD for Fiscal Year 2024. The work is carried out in old schools that are old or unfit and dismantled.
Through this development, school buildings are strengthened with a safer structure and designs according to educational standards.
Classrooms are now wider with better lighting. Various supporting facilities were also added, such as laboratories, libraries, teacher rooms and school principals, UKS, disabled toilets, elevators and sports fields.
Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim said, all work was done by prioritizing the quality of construction.
"We ensure that the development process is carried out according to technical rules. The quality of the results is a top priority so that it is safe, comfortable and in accordance with the standards of educational buildings," said Adjib as quoted from his written statement, Thursday, July 17.
To ensure efficiency and precision during project implementation, KSO Hutama Karsa adopted an integrated digital approach through building modeling technology or Building Information Modeling (BIM).
The technology allows more accurate planning, better cross-team coordination and real-time progress monitoring.
In addition, the project also absorbs around 1,000 local workers as part of social contributions to the surrounding community.

All buildings are now not only stronger and more functional, but also more inclusive and support the learning process as a whole.
Adjib added that the project was carried out responsibly and according to schedule.
"We understand the importance of adequate educational facilities. We make sure all stages are in accordance with standards and pay attention to the safety aspect of work," he said.
