Commissioner of the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) Heru Pudyo Nugroho said, since the Bapertarum was liquidated in 2019, there have been no new deposits of participants to date.
This was conveyed by Heru at the BP Tapera Sarasehan event entitled "Building Collaboration and Synergy Between Institutions in the Success of the 3 Million Houses Program in Jakarta, Thursday, July 17.
Heru said, since the Bapertarum was liquidated, the remaining funds have been transferred to BP Tapera in 2020.
"So, ASN friends don't think that until now they are still being collected, their salaries are still being cut for Bapertarum savings. There is no law from 2020," he said.
Heru explained that BP Tapera is a public legal entity (sui generis) which was formed under Law (UU) Number 4 of 2016 concerning Tapera.
This institution is assigned to collect and provide long-term and sustainable low-cost funds for housing financing, especially for low-income people (MBR) with the principle of mutual cooperation.
"Since joining BP Tapera in March 2024, we have highlighted governance as the main issue and homework. One of the focuses is regulatory alignment that separates fund management," he said.
Currently, said Heru, BP Tapera manages two main fund portfolios. The first is the Housing Equity Fund sourced from participant deposits who were previously participants of the Civil Servant Housing Savings Advisory Agency (Bapertarum).

Then there is the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) which since the end of 2021 has been managed by BP Tapera.
This program was previously managed by the BLU PPDPP which was liquidated at the end of 2021. To date, FLPP has helped around 790,000 housing units with a value of tens of trillions of rupiah.
"Until now, maybe around 790,000 housing units that we have delivered with a value of tens of trillions that we have distributed (via) FLPP," he said.
