PT Pertamina (Persero) has stated that it is ready to import energy from the United States (US), both crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as the import rate agreement has been made.

Meanwhile, for liquefied natural gas (LNG), continued Fadjar, there has been no agreement to import from the US.
"Until now, those who are covered in crude oil and LPG," Fadjar told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 16.
Fadjar also said that the company had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a number of US partners related to optimizing the procurement of feedstock or crude oil for refinery needs in Indonesia.
Furthermore, Fadjar explained, optimizing the procurement of crude oil is Pertamina's support for government policies that seek tariff agreements between Indonesia and the US.
"Pertamina has indeed signed an MoU with several partners in the US related to optimizing the procurement of feedstock or crude oil for our refineries in Indonesia," he said.
The Majority Of LPG Imports From The US
Fadjar said, last year as many as 57 percent of Indonesian LPG imports came from the US. Even though it has been dominated by the US, Fadjar said Pertamina opens up opportunities to increase LPG imports.
