The Ministry Of PKP Will Involve All Village Business Elements For Housing Preparation

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) revealed that all business elements in villages ranging from the Red and White Village Cooperative, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) to other businesses at the village level can be involved in preparing housing in villages.

"Regarding the issue of involvement, of course, in preparing housing at the village level, we hope that all elements will also be involved. So whether it's a cooperative, whether it's BUMDes or other businesses at the village level, we hope to be involved," said the Director General of Rural Housing of the Ministry of PKP. Imran quoted Antara.

According to him, housing projects can boost 185 derivative sectors that participate in housing projects.

"So we hope that all of them can be involved, especially for the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) which applies to all of Indonesia. And each of these villages also has different abilities and it is very possible that businesses in the village also take a role in that," he said.

For information, the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) revealed that two flagship programs of the Ministry of PKP next year, namely the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) and the Construction of Subsidized Houses to make the 3 Million Houses a success.

The Ministry of PKP will encourage the implementation of 2 flagship programs in the housing sector in 2026. The two programs are the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) and the Development of Subsidized Houses for the Indonesian people.

He hopes that the two housing programs can be carried out well for the welfare of the Indonesian people and encourage economic growth.

Ara stated that the BSPS Program is very important to eradicate the backlog of 26 million uninhabitable houses in Indonesia. Furthermore, there is a subsidized housing program of 500,000 housing units for MBR by encouraging the distribution of Prosperous KPR Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP).

The BSPS program is part of a tangible manifestation of the state being present in helping people to live in decent houses. The BSPS program can provide wider benefits for low-income people, not only having a more decent, healthy and comfortable house, but also reducing unemployment and maintaining people's purchasing power.
