Get Ready! There Will Be Two Flat Towers For Low-Income Communities At IKN

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) said that currently there are plans to build flats (Rusun) for low-income people (MBR) in IKN. Later, there will be two flat towers for MBR in the new capital city.

The project will later be fully built by the state budget, not with the private sector.

OIKN Head Basuki Hadimuljono said the development idea was initiated by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait.

"The Minister of PKP will also build one or two towers for MBR," said Basuki when met at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

In addition, Basuki also conveyed the progress process of building landed housing for ministers. Later, the ministerial residential construction project will be included in the KPBU project with a total of 109 landed occupancy being carried out with Intiland.

"I have communicated with the Secretary General (Kemenkeu) with the Director General (Kemenkeu), waiting for the Minister's signature, after that it was just a tender," he said.

In addition to the 109 site occupancy project, the other KPBU project process continues to run, namely the construction of eight residential towers that were carried out with Nindya Karya.

As for 2026, OIKN also requested an additional budget of IDR 16.13 trillion. Meanwhile, the effective ceiling of the budget received by OIKN is IDR 5.05 trillion next year.

Basuki explained that the effective ceiling for the 2026 fiscal year was in accordance with the Joint Letter of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Number S-356/MK.02/2025 and B-383/D.9/PP.04.03/05/2025 dated May 15, 2025.

"The 2026 State Budget IKN plan is in accordance with the Joint Letter of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Number S-356/MK.02/2025 and B-383/D.9/PP.04.03/05/2025 dated 15 May 2025 concerning the Indicative Ceiling for Ministry/Institutional Expenditures and Special Allocation Funds, the indicative ceiling of OIKN in 2026 is IDR 5.05 trillion," he said.
