KAI Commuter Operates 70 Commuter Line Basoetta Trips Per Day

PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia or KAI Commuter has added the Commuter Line Basoetta trip to a total of 70 trips per day.

Operational Basoetta Commuter Line service will take place from 05.00 WIB to 22.57 WIB every day.

"Starting July 1, 2025, the Commuter Line Basoetta trip has also been added to six trips every day, to a total of 70 trips. Operational Basoetta's Commuter Line service will take place from 05.00 WIB to 22.57 WIB," said KAI Commuter President Director, Asdo Artriviyanto in an official statement, Tuesday, July 2.

Asdo said KAI Commuter continues to improve the quality of the Commuter Line Basoetta service.

The travel time for Commuter Line Basoetta to Soekarno-Hatta Airport from BNI City Station or vice versa is now only 39 minutes.

"The travel time for Commuter Line Basoetta to the airport is currently 10 minutes faster than the previous 49 minutes to 39 minutes," he said.

Asdo also said that the Commuter Line Basoetta travel time will be gradually reduced to 30 minutes. This step is to target 20 percent or 10 million people from the total aircraft users at Soekarno-Hatta Airport every year.

"Furthermore, it will be pursued in stages so that the travel time becomes 30 minutes," he said.

Furthermore, Asdo said that the acceleration of travel time is also expected to further increase public confidence in using the Commuter Line Basoetta service and can continue to grow from year to year.

According to recorded data, in 2023 the number of Commuter Line Basoetta users was 1,970,531 people, and increased to 2,242,536 people in 2024.

Meanwhile, during the period January to May 2025, the volume of users was recorded at 883,512 people.

The number is predicted to continue to grow. This projected increase in the number of users cannot be separated from the strategic location of BNI City Station which has connectivity and integration with various other modes of transportation, such as Transjakarta Buses, KRL, MRT, LRT, to JakLingko," he said.

In addition, continued Asdo, to improve the convenience and ease of booking tickets, users can order tickets online through the Access by KAI application and the reservoir.kci.id site starting D-7 before departure. Orders are also available directly at the station.

According to Asdo, this increase in travel speed is an important element in strengthening the position of Commuter Line Basoetta as the main choice mode towards the airport.

With this efficient, practical, and traffic-free transportation, the Commuter Line Basoetta can be the right solution to get to the airport.

"A faster travel time will really help Commuter Line Basoetta customers, especially those with flight schedules and require measurable and express-free travel," concluded Asdo.
