JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) emphasized the importance of halal certification as part of the guaranteed quality of free nutritious food (MBG).
"This halal certification is an essential element as a form of certainty, safety, health, and nutrition for the community, especially our children to become smart, healthy, and have competitiveness in the future," said Coordinating Minister AHY, quoted by Antara from an official statement with the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH), Tuesday, July 1.
In line with that, BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said the importance of guaranteeing halal products in the national nutrition fulfillment program.
Haikal also said that the existence of a free nutritious kitchen that uses halal materials and a halal production process is a tangible manifestation of the government's vision under President Prabowo Subianto's leadership.
"Under the leadership of President Prabowo, halal continues to be a nomenclature in every corner, even in every kitchen a nutritious food is free. Let's continue to support every Indonesian food to be nutritious and halal," he said.
"I as the Head of BPJPH appreciate the free nutritious food kitchen, because I use halal materials," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana said he was optimistic about the further development of the program.

On Monday 30 June, Coordinating Minister AHY, Head of BPJPH Haikal, and Head of BGN Dadan inaugurated the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) of the Garuda Biru Indonesia Foundation, Jatiasih, Bekasi City, West Java.
After inaugurating them, they reviewed the free nutritious food kitchen, and saw firsthand the entire process flow, starting from the storage of foodstuffs to the processing stage and presentation of a nutritious healthy menu for the community.
