BONDOWOSO - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) will revise Government Regulation No. 7 of 2017 concerning Geothermal for Indirect Utilization
The Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eniya Listiani Dewi, said that in the near future his party will identify and remove barriers or obstacles (debottlenecking) in utilizing geothermal from the developer side. Eniya explained that later the main point in revising this rule is the auction procedure for the Geothermal Working Area (WKP) which will be carried out online to facilitate and attract interested companies who want to manage it. Later the Directorate of EBTKE will launch a Genesis or the Geothermal Energy Information System to facilitate licensing matters
"The WKP auction can be online. This actually wants to launch Genesis, it wants to be auctioned online. So far, it's an ordinary auction, the next online auction," continued Eniya.
