JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) encourages increased utilization of natural gas for communities in various sectors, including health.

Member of the Committee for the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Wahyudi Anas in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, said that the use of natural gas networks in the health care sector can save operational costs.

"Today we are reviewing and ensuring that the distribution of jargas to be used in the community service sector in hospitals can run smoothly and well," he said while visiting the Citarum Wilasa Hospital, Semarang, Central Java, quoted by Antara, Saturday, June 7.

Wahyudi added, within one month, the use of gas cylinders for health services at the Citarum Wilasa Hospital could save significant operational costs.

"Utilization of natural gas for hospitals can encourage and provide efficiency of 36 percent of consumption using non-subsidized LPG," he said.
