The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (IKN) has so far accepted the investment interest of 42 companies interested in being involved in the development of the capital city of Indonesia in the areas of North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan Province.

"Various facilities are offered by the government for investment in IKN," said Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 4.

Until now, he continued, he had received investment interest from 42 companies engaged in various strategic sectors, such as property, green energy, education, transportation, and technology.

"With the various facilities offered by the government for the investment, we are optimistic that IKN development can run according to schedule," he added.

The IKN Authority will make Indonesia's new capital city an example of progressive, transparent, and efficient investment governance, not only building a city but also building trust.

Ease of licensing is expected to be the main attraction for investors, thus making IKN the center not only a new government, but also an epicenter of sustainable modern economic growth.

One of the strategic steps is to accelerate the investment licensing process, he explained, which is completed in just one week as a commitment to creating a conducive and efficient investment climate.

This policy is part of bureaucratic reform as well as efforts to attract interest from national and global investors, said Basuki Hadimuljono, because ease of licensing is more important than just incentives.

The IKN Authority implements a digital-based one-door service system through an electronically integrated business licensing system (online single submission/SOS), so that investors can manage permits in an integrated manner without having to go through a convoluted bureaucracy.

"We are impressed by the speed with the IKN Authority's service, the ease of investment is felt," said President Director of PT Maxi Nusantara Raya, Soeny Yoewono.

According to him, all investment licensing management is processed by the IKN Authority, according to him, companies or investors are just waiting to sign the cooperation.
