JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) targets the renovation of the Phase I People's School to be completed in July 2025.

The renovation work includes repairing walls, floors, ceilings, providing clean water and sanitation to providing furniture with physical progress until May 29, 2025, reaching 11.48 percent.

The distribution of the location for the renovation of the Phase I People's School, namely Aceh (2); North Sumatra (3); Riau (1); West Sumatra (3); Jambi (1); Bengkulu (1); South Sumatra (2); Jakarta (3); West Java (10); Central Java (7); DIY (2); East Java (12); Bali (1); NTB (1); NTT (1); South Kalimantan (2); North Sulawesi (2); Central Sulawesi (1); South Sulawesi (4); Southeast Sulawesi (1); North Maluku (2); and Papua (1).

Meanwhile, in phase II, a new People's School will be built with a completion target in July 2026.
"We have verified 224 proposed locations for Phase II, 37 of which have been approved, 69 have not been approved, among others, because the land certificate is not complete and 116 is not approved because the land is not in accordance with the provisions," said Dody.
