JAKARTA - Kao Indonesia inaugurated the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) installation project with a total capacity of 6.53 Mega Watt peak (MWp) in the Karawang International Industrial Center (KIIC) area.

This PLTS is expected to reduce carbon emissions gas by means of an environmentally friendly production process.

"This Solar Power Plant facility is one of the large-capacity PLTS roofs in Indonesia and the largest in the Kao Group. Innovation development continues to be carried out as part of the tangible form and significant steps of the Company's ESG strategy through Decarbonization in a business chain that presents renewable energy and reduces carbon emissions gas," said Kao Indonesia President Director Shoichi Hasegawa in an official statement, Friday, May 30.

Shoichi added, this is also in line with Kao Indonesia's mission and travel spirit for more than 40 years in Indonesia in improving the quality of life for the community.

The PLTS inauguration step for a better lifestyle by Kao is also supported by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia.
