JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has completed the construction of the East Side National Advertisement Road in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. This infrastructure is the main route that connects the State Palace with the national road network and a number of strategic government buildings in the center of IKN.
WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito said the East Side National Advertisement Road at IKN was completed in April 2025. Currently, the road is entering a maintenance phase after all construction work is completed thoroughly.
Crossing 3.27 kilometers long, Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan Sisi Timur became the main connecting route between the State Palace, national roads and a number of government offices in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) IKN.
"The company believes that infrastructure built with precision, technology and collaboration will be a strong foundation for the future of IKN," said Budi Waskito as quoted from his written statement, Tuesday, May 27.
In the implementation of asphalting work, WIKA uses Machine Mounted GPS (MMGPS) technology to improve precision and accuracy at each track stage. This technology ensures that precision work is in accordance with design and minimizes potential deviation.
In addition, the project also utilizes Intelligent Compactors, namely heavy equipment based on digital sensors that allows the compactification to take place more evenly, quickly and according to quality targets.
