JAKARTA - The government continues to be committed to strengthening economic cooperation with various strategic partner countries, including China, through various efforts to increase trade, investment, and strategic projects that have a direct impact on job creation and added value in the country.

In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China, Indonesia-China Business Reception 2025 was held in Jakarta.

This activity was organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and aimed at strengthening and reaffirming the commitments of the two countries in building sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships.

On this occasion, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto accompanied President Prabowo Subianto.

"I see that relations between Indonesia and China are very strategic, very important, and very promising, and can determine the state of peace and stability in our region," said President Prabowo Subianto.

The trade relationship between Indonesia and China remains strong with Indonesia's exports to China reaching 62.43 billion US dollars throughout 2024.

In terms of investment, China is the third largest foreign investor in Indonesia after Singapore and Hong Kong, with the realization of Foreign Investment (PMA) of US$8.1 billion in 2024.

During the meeting, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto also witnessed the signing of the MoU between PT SPC Supertone, Shanghai Sixmitted Technology Co. Ltd, and PT Zyrexindo Mandiri Buana organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.

"The signing of this MoU can strengthen the collaboration between the three companies in the field of information technology and is expected to produce more competitive products," said Airlangga.
