JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) opens up opportunities for human resources (HR) in the Indonesian industrial sector that have competence for internships to full-time work in the Chinese industry. Thus, Indonesian human resources are expected to be able to improve competence, competitiveness, master industrial technology to skilled Mandarin.

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China have turned 75 years. Currently, the two countries are establishing synergies in several strategic sectors.

"We are focusing on collaboration in technology and human resources as the main key to driving the national economy to achieve the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045," Agus said as quoted from his written statement, Friday, May 23.

The Ministry of Industry also has a working unit of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) which functions to organize the development of industrial human resources in Indonesia. The Ministry of Industry also collaborates with various partners from China, one of which is Go Study Global Education.

In May, BPSDMI and Go Study Global Education have officially completed the online Mandarin batch 2 course. The program, which took place from February 3 to May 9, 2025, was held online for three full months and was attended by 115 students from the Ministry of Industry's vocational education unit.

The head of BPSDMI Masrokhan said the program was a real implementation of the collaboration between BPSDMI and Go Study Global Education that had been established since the signing of the Letter of Intention (LoI) in 2024.

"Go Study Global Education also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several units of our vocational education related to Mandarin language course programs, internships to student exchanges," he said.

The Mandarin language course program is implemented using a curriculum that refers to HSK 1 standards and is taught by professional teachers from Go Study Global Education. The HSK 1 curriculum focuses on the foundation of Mandarin and teaches vocabulary and basic grammar students to communicate in everyday situations.

"This program is implemented in the hope of increasing the competence of the Mandarin language of our students and students, thus providing greater opportunities for them to be immediately absorbed to work in the Chinese industry," explained Masrokhan.

Previously, BPSDMI and Go Study Global Education had also held an online Mandarin batch 1 course program from October 14, 2024 to January 13, 2025, with a total of 141 participants from the Ministry of Industry's vocational higher education unit.

Currently, the Ministry of Industry is also opening new student and student admissions to all vocational education units through the Joint 2025 Industrial Vocational Revenue Line (JARVIS) which runs from April 22 to May 31, 2025.
