Absorption Reaches 2.1 Million Tons, This Is Bulog's Way To Maintain Rice Quality In Warehouses

JAKARTA Perum Bulog ensures that the quality of Government Rice Reserve rice (CBP) in Bulog warehouses is maintained optimally through a series of strict surveillance measures, along with the high rate of grain absorption.

For your information, Bulog noted that the absorption of grain and government rice had reached more than 2.1 million tons of rice equivalent until mid-May 2025.

Director of Procurement of Perum Bulog, Prihasto Setyanto, revealed that every rice that enters Bulog Warehouse must go through a thorough quality examination process.

Furthermore, Prihasto said that this examination involved independent surveyors to ensure transparency and accuracy of quality standards.

"Every incoming rice has gone through a quality test process involving a third party independently, so the quality is in accordance with the set standards," said Prihasto in an official statement, Sunday, May 18.

Prihasto said that not only ensured the quality at the beginning of the reception, Bulog also implemented a regular care management system in warehouses.

"We have a routine maintenance mechanism for the commodities stored, so that the quality of rice is maintained properly until distribution time," he said.

Prihasto said that this structured supervision and maintenance step is part of Bulog's commitment to maintaining public trust and ensuring the availability of quality rice for the community.

"In the midst of the high absorption rate, Bulog still prioritizes quality for stabilization of food supply and prices in Indonesia," he said.
