Menkop Budi Arie Asks People Not To Doubt Red And White Cooperatives

Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi emphasized that the government is fully committed to improving the welfare of the village community through the program to form the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes/Kopkel).

Budi Arie emphasized that the synergy with various parties was carried out in order to answer public doubts regarding the success of the Red and White Kopdes/Kopkel program for economic equality efforts in society.

The Coordinating Minister believes that the Red and White Kopdes/Kopkel will benefit the village community in the not long term.

"The enemy of the Red and White Kopdes/Kopkel is fear, suspicion, doubt. Even though this country was built because of optimism, not doubt," said Coordinating Minister Budi Arie Setiadi in a statement to the media, Tuesday, May 6.

The public is asked to eliminate negative stereotypes, especially doubts, suspicions and fears of this program because specifically the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has also expressed his commitment from the start.

"This country was built because of optimism, not doubt, because we are all fighters, this country was built by fighters and Central Java is known as the fighter province," said the Coordinating Minister.

Budi Arie guarantees that the operations of the Kopdes/Kopkel Merah Putih program will be carried out professionally and ensure that credibility is well maintained.

Therefore, the management structure of the Kopdes/Kopkel was appointed openly through the Special Village Deliberation (Mus rumor).

Furthermore, in terms of supervision, it will be carried out participatively by involving all elements of society in the village.

"Kopdes/Kopkel Merah Putih must be managed in a transparent, professional and accountable manner. We want to form an economic institution, especially in a very strong, resilient and sustainable village," continued Budi Arie.

Budi Arie also stated that the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) also asked for the willingness of SOEs such as PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) to participate in guarding and assisting business activities from the Red and White Kopdes/Kopkel.

The more parties involved, the greater the chance of the success of the Kopdes/Kopkel program for improving the welfare of the village community.

"What is certain is that the government of the Red and White Cabinet will not let go, we will oversee this program together until it is successful and we hope that there will be no problems in the village because this Kopdes is a tool for the welfare of the people, eliminating poverty in villages," said Budi Arie.
