PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) received an additional liquid natural gas (LNG) of 130,000 m3 from Tangguh Field.
The cargo was regasified through the Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) Lampung, to support the needs of the industrial and electricity sectors
PGN's Corporate Secretary, Fajriyah Usman, said PGN carried out the LNG transfershipship-to-ship (STS) process through its subsidiary, PT PGN LNG Indonesia (PLI).
STS was held from the Papua Tangguh LNG Terminal to FSRU Lampung on April 25-27, 2025.
Since the beginning of the year, FSRU Lampung has received eight LNG cargoes or the equivalent of 742,000 m3, making it a vital link to non-pipe energy supply to customers in Sumatra and Java.
In addition, the LNG Arun facility also received one cargo to support supplies in North Sumatra.
"For cooperation with various parties, supply resilience can run continuously. FSRU Lampung as one of the midstream infrastructures is an important strength for PGN in maintaining the reliability of energy services to meet energy needs, especially to reach the industrial and electricity sectors," said Fajriyah, Monday, May 5.
Fajriyah continued, the current energy supply challenges encourage PGN to take advantage of the domestic LNG gas production results through the integration of midstream and downstream infrastructure into flexible and efficient solutions, along with the growing trend of customer natural gas needs.
