Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said that the special terminal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport would improve services to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

Dudy said Terminal 2F consists of 3 floors with a total area of 27,400 m2 and has a capacity of 6.1 million passengers per year. In addition to terminal infrastructure beautification, the revitalization of Terminal 2F also includes preparing supporting infrastructure for Umrah activities, such as mosques and lounges and bus parking.

In addition, Terminal 2F has 20 check-in counters and a fairly wide waiting room that accommodates pilgrims and families during passenger processing by agents. At this terminal, there is also a Umrah lounge that can accommodate up to 3,000 people.

"In terms of transportation, the Ministry of Transportation has also provided maximum support for the departure of Hajj and Umrah. This year's Hajj departure will be served by three airlines, namely Garuda Indonesia, Saudi Airlines and Lion Air," he said.
