Bulog Appreciates TNI For Guarding Farmer Harvest In Bekasi Regency

The Perum of the Logistics Affairs Agency (Bulog) appreciates the active role of TNI soldiers in every farmer harvest escort activity in the Bekasi Regency, West Java in order to optimize the absorption of grain.

"The highest appreciation to the soldiers of Korem 051/Wijayakarta, Kodim 0509/Bali Regency and the Koramil for their active role in helping guard the absorption of grain in every location we visit," said Head of Perum Bulog Karawang Umar Said in Bekasi Regency, quoted by Antara, Sunday, April 27.

He said this escort task was a form of real synergy between the TNI and the community in supporting national food security as Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto, creating the nation's independence through food self-sufficiency.

He admitted that the role of the TNI was crucial to ensure that the absorption of grain for farmers took place safely and conducively, as was done in Tambun Village RT 04/01, Kertasari Village, Pebayuran District, Bekasi Regency.

"Hopefully this synergy with TNI soldiers can continue to be improved, including with regional apparatus, BPD (Village Consultative Agency), farmer groups, and working partners of Perum Bulog," he said.

TNI's involvement in the absorption of grain is very strategic because they help provide information related to the harvest location, so that it can pick up or come directly to the location where Perum Bulog Karawang's work coverage includes Karawang Regency and Bekasi Regency and City.

In absorbing farmers' unhulled rice, Bulog Karawang purchased harvested dry unhulled rice at a price of Rp. 6,500 per kilogram, in accordance with the provisions contained in the Decree of the Head of the National Food Agency number 14 of 2025.

Meanwhile, Acting Danramil 11 Pebayuran Lettu Arm Dikin stated that this activity was part of the food security program promoted by the Indonesian Army, Kodim 0509 Bekasi Regency, Korem 051 Wijayakarta, Jaya Jayakarta Military Command.

"So it is necessary to involve all parties to ensure that farmers' crops are well absorbed and provide economic value that is appropriate for them," he said.
