JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI recorded the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) until March 2025 worth IDR 42.23 trillion.

This amount is equivalent to 24.13 percent of the 2025 allocation of IDR 175 trillion set by the Government.

BRI Corporate Secretary Agustya Hendy Bernadi said that during that period, as many as 975,000 MSME entrepreneurs had benefited from the KUR distributed by BRI.

"Not only in terms of lending and the amount of debtors, BRI also ensures that KUR distribution is directed to strategic sectors that play a role in encouraging economic growth, which is reflected in the distribution of KUR by 62.43 percent to the production sector," he said in a statement to the media, Friday, April 25.

The agricultural sector is the economic sector with the largest amount of distribution, reaching Rp. 18.09 trillion. This achievement reflects BRI's commitment to strengthening national food security.

He continued, BRI consistently implements prudent risk management in KUR distribution. As of March 2025, the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) was recorded at 2.29 percent, reflecting a healthy portfolio and optimal risk management.

The distribution of KUR which focuses on the productive sector is a form of BRI's real alignment with national economic development. BRI believes that targeted financing can create significant multiplier effects, especially in encouraging business independence and creating jobs," he said.

Hendy added that focusing on the agricultural sector is part of BRI's strategy to support national food security.

"Support for the agricultural sector not only has an impact on economic growth, but also encourages an increase in people's welfare in a sustainable manner, and supports the government's efforts to realize food self-sufficiency. This also shows BRI's role in building a strong and inclusive national economic foundation," concluded Hendy.
