Minister Of Transportation: There Is No Additional WFA Plan For Backflow

TANGERANG - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said that his party had not planned to propose an additional period of work from anywhere (WFA) on the backflow of Idulfitri or Lebaran 2025 transportation.

Dudy said that based on the starting of what his party had done, if the WFA was extended for Lebaran's backflow, the travelers would have pushed back the schedule to Jakarta from the peak of the backflow which was estimated on April 6, 2025.

The government issued a WFA policy for state civil servants (ASN) and also State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) from March 24 to March 27.

"If we give more, they (return to the city) retreat. So the peak remains, but it's back," said Dudy when met by reporters at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Thursday, March 27.

Therefore, Dudy asked the travelers to return before April 6, 2025, to avoid traffic congestion at the peak of backflow. Given, the backflow will be much higher.

"The flow back is quite high, but if it's like an airplane, a train, they have already booked, it's in accordance with capacity. But if those who use land roads like a car are high, we try to work around it by giving discounts on toll rates," he said.

Dudy hopes that with the provision of a discount on toll rates, traffic on toll roads can be decomposed. He said the policy of discounting toll road rates applies to to toll roads managed by Jasa Marga and Astra Infra is valid from 8 to 9 April 2025.

"Hopefully, the discount on toll rates that want to return again can be decomposed," he said.
